Tissue Fabrication Intern

Advanced Solutions Life Sciences is seeking a full-time/part-time intern at our Manchester, NH location for Fall 2021 and/or Spring 2022. Our Manchester office leads a variety of projects focused on tissue engineering and tissue vascularization, using state of the art bioprinting systems. The position will involve assisting in product development, customer bioprinting projects, and laboratory maintenance. Tasks may include small bioprinting projects, product quality control, image analysis, developing product documentation, and basic laboratory maintenance. The ideal candidate will be working towards a bachelor’s or graduate degree in biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or related fields. Interested applicants MUST be detail oriented, a quick learner, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Experience working with aseptic technique is preferred but not required. Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will: 

  • Leverage biology, physical sciences, and engineering knowledge to help solve tissue fabrication problems and assist with experimental design

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail while analyzing data, including image analysis

  • Conduct assays and experiments accurately following standard operating procedures

  • React positively to change, perform other duties as assigned, and be willing to assist with all aspects of running a biological laboratory

Required Skills:

  • Must be detail-oriented, have ability to multitask, meet deadlines, work independently, and work well with a team

  • Prior experience working in a laboratory is required

  • Prior experience with bioprinting or aseptic technique is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School education or equivalent

  • Must be working towards a bachelor’s or graduate degree in biology, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or related field
